Tami Roberts, MD

Provider at New Promise Neuropathy

Dr. Roberts, originally from Tyler, Texas, achieved her bachelor’s degree in biology at Austin College in 1995, subsequently obtaining her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Specializing in Family Medicine, Dr. Roberts completed her residency at Baylor Garland and her professional path began in 2002 as she practiced in various North Texas cities such as Carrollton, Plano, and Dallas, where she immersed herself in patient care and community involvement.

Her desire to enhance patient lives and focus on individual needs prompted a transition from her role as Medical Director at Care Now's Plano clinic to establishing her own direct primary care practice. This move allowed her to dedicate more time to preventative health and integrative care, further deepening her engagement with patient wellbeing. This passion eventually led Dr. Roberts to join the New Promise Neuropathy team in 2019, where she finds fulfillment in witnessing and contributing to patients’ progress in managing neuropathy and enhancing their overall quality of life. Her career reflects a steadfast dedication to medical practice, patient care, and the continuous pursuit of enhancing the wellbeing of those she serves.

Dr. Roberts attended Austin College where she graduated magna cum laude with a concentration in Biology in 1995.

Her interest in helping others led her to medical school at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. While in medical school she was impressed by many of the Family Medicine physicians that mentored her and was inspired to specialize in Family Medicine. After graduating medical school in 1999 she started her residency in Family Medicine at Baylor Medical Center in Garland, TX.
